Volunteering opportunities

Giving your time

We aim to involve volunteers fully in the work of our church. We recognise that participation by volunteers is essential. The principal objective is to further the mission and ministry of the church.

There are many opportunities for volunteering at St Paul’s Bow Common. This includes the following roles:

  • Welcomers

  • Sales Assistants

  • Events Assistants

  • Church Guides

  • Christmas Bazaar Assistants

If you would like information about other opportunities to work in a voluntary capacity please contact the Vicar: Mthr. Bernadette by email or telephone 020 3774 6833.

‘I have loved every minute of it. Meeting people as a volunteer for St Paul’s has changed my life.’

Got a fundraising idea?

We would love you to put your idea into action and fundraise for us.

For example, the Vicar had the idea of doing a sponsored climb and here's what happened.

On Wednesday, supported enthusiastically by our church school, members of our congregation and the parish, I did manage to climb to the top of the church and bless the cross, the repair work and the parish.

I must admit, I found the last ladder really challenging as I don’t like heights nor ladders.

But hearing the children call out my name was so encouraging and they kept it up until I arrived on the top.

I’ve raised over £1,020 for the church. So a big thank you to everyone who sponsored me and to all who supported me.

With every blessing, Mother Bernadette
